Because there are no better people than existing entrepreneurs when developing new businesses, we argue that governments and multilateral organizations should rely on them to promote the concept of social business. But are existing entrepreneurs ready to turn into social entrepreneurs? In this article we analyze the characteristics of entrepreneurs in developing countries, provide insight into their mindset toward social entrepreneurship, and produce policy recommendations that may help persuade them to become social entrepreneurs.
