About
Alberto Alemanno is Associate Professor of Law at HEC Paris and a qualified attorney-at-law in New York since 2004. Formerly Référendaire (clerk) at both the European Court of Justice and Court of First Instance and Teaching Assistant at the College of Europe in Bruges. He holds LLM degrees from the College of Europe and Harvard Law School and a PhD in International Law & Economics from Bocconi University. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Risk Regulation, a member of the Editorial Board of the Revue du Droit de l’Union Européenne and of the European Food & Feed Law Review, the Area Editor for Policy of Risk Analysis: an International Journal, and is the Chair of the Risk Policy & Law Specialty group of the Society of Risk Analysis. His research and teaching activities focus on European Law, International Economic Law, WTO law, Risk Regulation and International Public Health as well as Comparative Constitutional Law. He currently teaches : European Law; Global Antitrust Law;
European Risk Regulation and European Affairs Strategy at HEC MBA Programme. He has published Trade in Food – Regulatory and Judicial Approaches in the EC and the WTO (Cameron May, 2007) and several articles in academic journals such as the Harvard International Law Journal, the European Law Journal, European Journal of Consumer Law, European Law Reporter and Revue du Droit de l'Union européenne. He's also the Founder and the Scientific Director of the EFFL Summer Academy in Global Food Law & Policy. Alberto Alemanno has also taught European and International law at St.Gällen University, Bocconi University, Fribourg Law School, Lyon III Jean Moulin, EDHEC Business School, and Macau Law School.
